According to Hitwise, Facebook now surpasses MySpace in share of U.S. visits (June 2009). Facebook’s share is reported to be 32.19% of its 10 million user sample. MySpace’s share is 29.01%, YouTube is third at 9.26%, Tagged is fourth with 1.91% and Twitter is a respectable fifth with a “tiny” 1.70% share.
Speaking of Facebook, Sodexo’s use of the popular site for recruitment has resulted in improved positioning of their career-related pages on search engine results.
