In a November 2008 post, Mr. Baskin says, among other things, “Nobody carries brands around in their heads. Nobody has a relationship with a brand. Or lives a brand lifestyle. Brands aren’t conversations, and they’re not bought, possessed, or coveted. Companies don’t own them. Neither do consumers or shareholders.”

		<description>For a minute we were looking into texting potential new younger candidates but during a recent call with our college interns we were advised against this for (specifically) a couple of reasons - our interns (at least) felt their text message boxes were getting too full too soon and it was hard to weed out the good from the bad and they do not have unlimited text messaging and they were not willing to give up the precious numbers to anyone but friends.  They said they might be willing to accept text messages from recruiters if they were close to getting the job but not until then. I still think there is value in this form of communication though.  Thanks for the post - it will be interesting to see where it goes.</description>
